Meet Your Division Leader

Nicole E. Henderson

Nassau Division Director

Nicole E. Henderson is a seasoned social work professional with over 20 years of experience in clinical practice, policy, advocacy, and community leadership. She serves as NASW Nassau Division Director, a middle school social worker and district mental health coordinator in Roosevelt, NY, and maintains a private trauma-informed psychotherapy practice.

An adjunct professor at Long Island University, Nicole is also a respected trainer and consultant in culturally responsive practices, crisis intervention, and SEL. Her work is grounded in equity, healing-centered systems, and civic engagement, reflected in her leadership roles with the Malverne School Board and Lakeview Civic Association. She is committed to strengthening networks that support vulnerable communities across Nassau County.
