Workshop Description
NOTE: If you completed the Mandated Reporter Training with NASW-NY and Dr. Kathryn Krase between January 1, 2023 and April 1, 2025, you are eligible to complete this 1-hour CE addendum, which satisfies the updated NYSED requirement due November 17, 2026.
Registrations will be cross-checked against prior attendance records to confirm eligibility for the addendum course.
This training meets the updated New York State standards for training in the identification and reporting of suspected child maltreatment which requires completion by November 17, 2026, but is only available for those who took the previous training required by April 1, 2025 with this particular provider.
This updated addendum provides important context to the reporting obligation when concerns relate to child with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
The 3 hour full Mandated Reporter Training with NASW-NY and Dr. Krase, will be Thursday, February 12, 2026, 10:00AM-1:00PM. For the February registration, check back in December.
Learning Objectives
After completing this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Participants will be able to explain considerations for determining when making a report to child protective services is required by law.
- Participants will explain how to adjust their considerations when working with clients with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
