Workshop Description

Helping professionals are often praised for their resilience, flexibility, and deep commitment to others - but behind the scenes, many are quietly battling burnout, emotional fatigue and boundary collapse. You Won't Break My Soul is a bold, empowering training designed to empowering training designed to help human service professionals reclaim their energy, their voice, and their time. Blending pop culture with professional practice, this course uses Beyonce's iconic strength, self-containment, and command presence as a metaphor for bold, ethical boundary-setting. Through reflection, discussion, scripting and embodiment, participants will explore how race, gender, cultural scripts and workplace dynamics shape emotional over-functioning - and how to rewrite that narrative with clarity, confidence, and care. This is more than a training - it's a call to stop over giving, start protecting your peace, and honor your worth in every space you enter.This updated addendum provides important context to the reporting obligation when concerns relate to child with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.


Learning Objectives

After completing this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Define emotional labor and its impact on helping professionals.
  • Identify the link between burnout and boundary collapse.
  • Describe the role of race, gender, and cultural conditioning in boundary overextension.
  • Apply bold, values-driven strategies to set and maintain boundaries ethically.
  • Practice real-world communication scripts for personal and professional boundary setting.

Presenter: Dr. Witni N. Jackson.

Dr. Witni N. Jackson is a seasoned social work professional with over a decade of experience in mental health, crisis intervention, and program management. She holds a Doctorate in Social Work from Capella University, a Master of Social Work from Georgia State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Spelman College. Dr. Jackson's expertise spans various sectors, including veteran services, mental health care, and community outreach.

Currently working as a community mental health professional, Dr. Jackson plays a pivotal role in suicide prevention and mental health services, providing crucial support and navigation services for veterans. She is a recognized subject matter expert offering education and consultation to both internal and external stakeholders.

In addition, Dr. Jackson is the CEO and Instructor at Kuna Consulting, LLC, where she designs and delivers accredited educational programs for social workers and professional counselors across Georgia. Her dedication to education and training has equipped numerous clinicians with the skills needed to excel in their fields.
