From armbands protesting the Vietnam War to book bans and vaccine mandates — what happens in schools has always been contested ground. This workshop examines the rights of students, parents, and educators through international, federal, state, and local law, and equips mental health professionals with practical tools for proactive and responsive advocacy on behalf of justice in schools.

A hybrid, discussion-based CE session hosted by the Hudson Valley Solution Focused Network (HVSFN), exploring the role of feelings in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Participants co-construct client conversations, apply solution-focused techniques, and learn to navigate problem-saturated systems — best suited for clinicians already familiar with SFBT.

This CE training helps social workers recognize how intimate partner violence manifests across the lifespan and across identities — moving beyond one-size-fits-all screening to trauma-informed approaches that account for how power, control, and access to support differ by age, identity, and culture.

This CE session gives social workers an introductory understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) in mental health practice — how it's currently being used, the ethical and legal risks it raises, and a framework for evaluating AI at both a practical and policy level.
