Advocacy is at the heart of social work. As social workers, we have an ethical responsibility to stand with vulnerable communities and advance policies that strengthen both our profession and the people we serve. In this culminating event of the NASW-NY C.A.R.E.S. Spring 2026 Policy Series, the NASW New York Chapter brings together powerful coalition partners leading critical advocacy efforts across New York. By uplifting and collaborating with these partners, we build collective power—and remind ourselves that we are not in this work alone. Join us to learn about pressing issues shaping today’s policy landscape, including justice reform, healthcare access, LGBTQIA+ rights, and more. You’ll hear directly from coalition leaders about their work, current legislative priorities, and how you can get involved to drive meaningful change.
