NASW-NY Senior Series

Launched in the fall of 2020 with support from Empire BlueCross BlueShield—an honored and esteemed sponsor of the NASW-NYC Chapter's 13th Annual Leadership Awards Gala—the Senior Series was first introduced as a dedicated space to address issues related to older adults and senior care. Designed as a set of informational sessions, workshops, and events, the Senior Series provides vital resources to both older adults and the social workers who serve them.

As of July 2025, the chapter is proud to continue the Senior Series as a recurring biannual program, is now expanded beyond New York City and held statewide under the unified NASW-New York Chapter (NASW-NY). The series serves as an essential touch point for disseminating up-to-date information, sharing professional resources, and fostering community engagement around the evolving needs of New York’s aging population.
