Continuing Education Partnership Program (CEPP)

The Continuing Education Partnership Program (CEPP) gives organizations, individuals, and agencies offering educational programming the opportunity to provide participants with New York State Education Department (NYSED) approved Continuing Education Credit (CE) through the National Association of Social Workers - New York (NASW-NY), a NYSED approved provider (ID#10014). NASW-NY agrees to administer social work continuing education contact hours for the educational program(s) referred to as part of this agreement, pending their approval(s) by NASW-NY.

  • CEPP accepts in-person and live online programs, including individual workshops and multi-day conferences. Pre-recorded/on-demand programs are not eligible.
  • All programs submitted for accreditation through the NASW-NY CEPP must meet the event record-keeping, administration, and documentation requirements outlined in this document, in accordance with NYSED continuing education standards.
  • The partner is responsible for all day-of coordination and facilitation, including Zoom hosting, registration, sign-in/sign-out, and evaluation management. NASW-NY no longer offers day-of onsite or virtual support.
  • Review presenter credentials and program content to ensure compliance with NYSED CE guidelines.
  • Provide the partner with an invoice within 10 business days after both parties sign this agreement.
  • Maintain all post-program records, including sign-in sheets, evaluations, and CE certificates, as required by NYSED.
  • Disseminate CE certificates to eligible attendees within 10 business days of receiving required post-program documentation from the partner.
  • Oversee all program logistics, content development, and facilitation.
  • Retain responsibility for all vendor contracts related to the program.
  • Oversee all day-of event operations including Zoom hosting (if applicable), attendee sign-in/sign-out, registration, and evaluation distribution.
    • If the training is offered on Zoom, the partner is responsible for sending the Zoom registration link to attendees and providing access to NASW-NY for attendance verification.
    • For every 60 minutes of CE programming, the partner is allowed up to 10 minutes of flexibility (e.g., breaks, early wrap-up, Q&A).
  • Forward the registrant spreadsheet to NASW-NY for processing of CE certificates within 2 business days of program delivery.
    • The registrant spreadsheet must include first name, last name, email address, mailing address, and phone number for all attendees.
  • Provide NASW-NY with copies of all on-site registrations within 2 business days of program delivery.
  • Provide NASW-NY with copies of all program evaluations within 2 business days of program delivery.
  • Provide NASW-NY with copies of sign-in/sign-out sheets with individual participant signatures within 2 business days of program delivery.
