NASW-NY CE Taskforce
The NASW-NY Continuing Education (CE) Taskforce began in July 2025
as a way to ensure our members have a direct voice in shaping continuing education. They are social workers and NASW-NY members who are doing the work every day, know what’s relevant, what is missing,
and what would truly support their peers’ professional growth.
The Taskforce focuses on:
- Identifying emerging needs in the field
- Recommending diverse presenters across levels of practice
- Contributing to building a more inclusive and relevant CE calendar
Sub-Groups & Leadership
Taskforce members are divided into three sub-groups, each with a chair who helps guide the work:
- Micro (Clinical & Direct Practice) – Chair: Mildred Pittre
- Mezzo (Organizations, Families, Communities) – Chair: Sharon Mosley
- Macro (Policy, Systems, Advocacy, Higher Education, Research) – Chair: Karen E. Edmond
This group is committed through February 2026 and is currently focused on planning
NASW-NY’s 2026 CE calendar to ensure it is robust, inclusive, and aligned with the real needs of the field.

Recognizing CE Taskforce Contributions
On our 2026 CE calendar, keep an eye out for the
CE Taskforce logo to know which programs were planned by the Taskforce.
We will also be updating this page to credit the Taskforce members who
recruited presenters, conducted outreach, and helped plan and organize these programs.
